Dunk Island, Queensland

Dunk Island is home to over 100 species of birds, reptiles such as pythons, tree snakes, monitor lizards, geckos and skinks. The island's surrounding waters are home to an array of marine life such as sea turtles, shellfish and dugongs. Swimming was not advised during my time on the island due to the presence of the deadly box jellyfish. You have virtually no chance of surviving their venomous sting, unless treated immediately.
